Final Logo Draft

Here is my final version of my personal logo. It’s very similar to the rough draft because I liked the design and didn’t really receive feedback so I ended up just going off of my own personal preferences.

The colors of the design are my own favorite colors and I went with a more modern, geometric look based on my own design preferences. I love logos that are inviting to the eye and interesting to look at. The amount of white space on the logo would make this one very easy to scale and place on a variety of background colors. The white in the letters and inner square should stay white but all of the rest of the white space could be made to be transparent.

I added in a few elements like extra blue lines and the smaller squares on the main black square to add a bit more texture and excitement to the logo. The earlier draft was bit too minimalistic. I also liked adding in the squares to try and even out the spacing of the letters since the first and last lines have three letters each while the middle two lines both have four letters.

Illustrator is a great tool that I only barely know how to work with. With that in mind, I chose to stick to fairly simple tools like the rectangle, shaper, type, and lines tools. I used the rectangle tool to make the black square. Using the type tool, I added in the letters of my name and the word “designs” in a sans serif font to make it a more modern look. I used the line tool to add in four lines (two black, two green blue) as accents that would fill the white space and add dimension to the overall logo.

I like this final product because it combines my favorite elements of design with a bit of my own personality and what I would like to do in the future.
